We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled freelance writers to join the Video Librarian team!

Video Librarian wants to expand our articles section on librarianship, media education, public performance rights, digital screenings, and more. We need the expertise of librarians, educators, filmmakers, and cinephiles to help! We also publish thought-provoking essays and lists on films, documentaries, and television. Writers with SEO skills are especially welcome.

Writers will pitch and execute articles on a monthly basis. Essays and lists are typically between 400-700 words, but our maximum is flexible. We pay $20-$75 per article. The amount of articles you pitch and execute each month is completely flexible, but contingent on your own speediness and strict adherence to deadlines.

Familiarity with Trello is a bonus.

If you also have an interest in writing film reviews, please let us know.

To apply, please submit a writing sample and short bio to Caroline Madden at caroline@videolibrarian.com. Please send a few pitch ideas as well!
