Christian Lear and Tucker Taylor will present and discuss Lear’s Journal of Copyright in Education and Librarianship paper "Controlled Digital Lending of Video Resources: Ensuring the Provision of Streaming Access to Videos for Pedagogical Purposes in Academic Libraries," which examines a current crisis within media librarianship regarding the challenges for academic libraries in providing streaming access to video resources despite the growing need for users to have streaming access.

Christian Lear is the Resources Management Librarian for the Kennesaw State University Library System. He has a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from the University of South Carolina, as well as a Master of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of South Carolina. His professional work experience has primarily been in public services and collection development in academic libraries. His research interests focus on copyright and collection assessment.
Tucker Taylor is a founder and co-editor in chief of the Journal of Copyright in Librarianship and Education. She also serves on the board of Library Futures (www.libraryfutures.net). Having served over 30 years as an access services librarian, she is interested in how copyright and licensing affect our abilities to provide access to information.
