Using a visual language of shapes, colors, and textures, my woodblock prints tell stories about places I have explored and revered. Most of my imagery is representative of the Great Lakes region. I have also chosen scenes in Japan (where I learned this art form), the coast of Oregon, and other magnificent areas that have caught my attention during my travels.
When I’m not carving, printing or writing about my work, I’m likely out on the trails enjoying a good hike or ski. But being from the Great Lakes region, my greatest passion is water – whether to be in it, on it, or to use as my muse.
