This is a case of the tail wagging the dog. Green Meadows is listed on the video jacket ten times. Within the first few minutes of the program, Green Meadow is mentioned about nine. The actual content picks up, but is still an extended product announcement with toe-tapping music, nice camera shots of traditional farm animals, and great farm facts couched in a walk-about tour of THE Farm. In business since 1964, Green Meadows has grown into a "chain" of farms throughout the U. S. and these good ole folks know how to work a young audience. Videos, CD's, T-shirts, guide books and posters, it's all slick as cow manure...but I've got to hand it to the producers, the video also teaches city-fied kids (who maybe won't ever milk a cow or touch a sheep's wool before it's a sweater) about the real Green Acres in an interesting and fun way. Recommended, with reservations. Aud: K, E, P. (N. Plympton).
