A WowieBOZowee Christmas

This holiday-themed computer-animated program features Christian green bear BOZ, a character created by Dennis DeShazer and Jon Green. Living next door to the Baxter family is a dream come true for BOZ, who spends time with young siblings Drew and Gracie enjoying a variety of festive activities: making a BOZ snow creature, decorating BOZ's treehouse home, working together on presents for the family's annual Christmas Eve gift-giving, and sharing a holiday dinner. BOZ (who blesses each meal he eats) and the Baxters (who attend the church fair and Sunday School play) are clearly religious, but the program is never preachy, instead focusing on family togetherness and an appreciation for the true meaning of the holiday as a celebration of Christ's birth (including a reenactment of the Nativity story). Boasting a ton of classic Christmas tunes, DVD extras include a “Christmas Around the World” featurette and a DVD-ROM “Build Your Snowman Family” game. Highly recommended. Aud: P. (J. Williams-Wood)
