Caillou: Let's Go Sledding

Canadian preschooler Caillou (pronounced “cay-you”) is back in this latest seasonal compilation from the PBS Kids series. Featuring three programs with several vignettes in each, Let's Go Sledding includes the “Caillou Learns Patience” stories “Rushing the Raspberry” (in which Caillou desperately tries to make a home berry plant grow big so he can share the fruits of his labor with his classmates), “Wait to Skate” (Dad's building a mini ice-skating rink, but Caillou is disappointed at how long it takes for the water to freeze), “Calliou the Storyteller” (a superhero story on a rainy day), and “Caillou's Hiccups” (a spaghetti slurping tale). Also featuring “Caillou in the Garden” and “Caillou the Snowman” (with the stories “Snowflakes,” about the first snow of the season, hockey-themed “Caillou Shoots! He Scores!”, “Practice Makes Perfect,” and “Caillou Goes Tobogganing”), this solid addition to the series includes bonus coloring pages and activities. Recommended. Aud: P. (J. Williams-Wood)
