Bonneville World Entertainment specializes in high-quality kid's films and the Australian film Clowning Around, and it's sequel, Clowning Around 2, are two of the best BWE titles I've ever seen. Clowning Around centers around a 14-year-old boy named Sim whose principle goal in life is to become a circus clown. As the film opens, we find Sim living in an orphanage in Australia. Sim hits the road pretty quickly, however, and his travels eventually land him in Paris where, with the help of his mentors, he lands a clown gig with a legit circus. Clowning Around 2 continues the Sim saga. Now 16, Sim inherits a circus. Difficulties ensue, of course, but our hero perseveres and clowns his way to success. Both films are filled with fine performances, the story moves along at a good pace, and the insights provided into the art of clowning are wonderful. Kids 8 and up will like these films and parents will enjoy them as much if not more. Highly recommended. Editor's Choice. Aud: P. (P. Van Vleck)
