Aimed at kids aged four and up, Digging for Dinosaurs is a musical adventure following Professor Fossilworth and canine buddy Rex as they embark (rather clumsily) on a journey to join junior paleontologists on a 65-million-year-old dinosaur dig. True to his name, Fossilworth introduces young viewers to the wonders of prehistoric fossils, explaining, among other things, the difference between flat dino teeth (for vegetarians) and sharp, pointy teeth (for the meat-eating crowd). Combining songs, comedy, a touch of animation, and real scientific curiosity, this program offers an entertaining introduction to a fascinating subject for youngsters. DVD extras include dinosaur riddles, a quiz, a dino-match game, and silly scene bloopers. Recommended. Aud: K, E, P. (T. Keogh)
