In rather sweet yet commanding tones, Amy Rubinate narrates the story, which follows Elizabeth into adulthood as a student, wife, mother, attorney, law professor, and U.S. Senator from Massachusetts. Illustrator Sarah Green’s muted watercolor illustrations receive slight animation as hands wave, heads bob, and bodies move, while background sound effects of phones ringing, hammers pounding, and hands clapping enliven the story of how persistence paid off for Warren, who remains a "tireless fighter" for her constituents and others in need.
