Gingerbread Land..." it's the only place where you can eat your mistakes." Patti Hudson, a.k.a. "The Gingerbread Lady," and creator of The Joy of Gingerbread Housemaking (highly recommended in our June, 1987 issue), returns with a new tape specifically aimed towards youngsters. Filled with delightful music and colorful puppets (literally Yellow and Green), Gingerbread Land introduces young viewers to the craft of making gingerbread houses, as Hudson demonstrates the creation of a small "cookie cottage," using a foundation of graham crackers, and a larger all-the-trimmings-included gingerbread house. There are also plenty of examples of finished and fully decorated gingerbread houses on display, and seeing them is like traveling through an edible art gallery. They're simply gorgeous. Although suitable the year round, Gingerbread Land is also a perfect holiday tape, just in time for Christmas. Highly recommended. Editor's Choice.
