Part of the 26 title Let's Dance series, which features children of various nations demonstrating their traditional folk dances, Italy: Fabiana in Italy introduces young viewers to charming little Fabiana, who wants to learn the Pizzica Pizzica ("pinch pinch") dance for the upcoming village festival. We meet her family, see her practicing the steps with her brother and schoolmates, and watch her at home enjoying a Sicilian meal. Despite being nervous, Fabiana does very well on the day of the performance. While this program is short and simple, it does give young viewers an idea about children's lives in other lands. A bit expensive for a non-core curriculum item, this is nevertheless recommended for larger collections. Other titles in the series include: Argentina: Frederico in Argentina, Cuba: Niurvys in Cuba, Finland: Jan in Finland, and Mexico: Julia in Mexico, Aud: K, E, I. (R. Reagan)
