Viewers are quickly introduced to the P.O.P.P. (Puppeteers Of Positive Peers) team, a group of puppets (like the muppets) who truly look like bored kids in an elementary school. In class, Ralph's attitude sucks. He's a sourpuss who thinks only wimps follow rules. He longs to go to a place where people don't share and there aren't any stupid restrictions. Taking a nap during report time, he suddenly finds himself on the planet Stinkiepoo, where the heartless citizens think only of themselves and the only rule is that there are no rules. "I thought I'd find freedom here, but I wanna go home" Ralph wails and just as suddenly finds himself back at school, telling his peers about "rules, wonderful rules!" Although this heavy-handed morality tale is a bit hard to swallow, instructors could still find this program a valuable student discussion starter on conflict resolution issues. Recommended, with reservations. Aud: E, I. (N. Plympton)
