"Mommy! Mommy! Me wanna go windsurfing/water sliding/wall climbing/mutton busting/go-karting!" Yes, parents, these are the plaintive cries you can expect to hear after your 2-to-10 year old watches this video and sees other young people enjoying these and other nouveau-cool pursuits. Very meager on narration and lacking instruction of any kind (and far-too-persistently accompanied by the Kid Calypso steel drum band), the program...well...shows kids playing, with the occasional balloon caption indicating that the child is practicing safe-sports by using a helmet, nonskid surface, or protective padding. The video is professionally done, but I worry that borrowers will think it might truly tell them something in-depth about child safety (which it really doesn't), rather than just giving the kids more short-term, potentially expensive "hobbies" to pursue. Optional. Aud: K, E, P. (K. Glaser)
