Mega Babies: Nursery Slimes

Gross: that's my first impression of Mega Babies. But if your humor runs toward the low-brow and you find burping, puking, and a handful of snot a laugh riot, then by all means consider this video. "At the dawn of the New Millennium," the opening credits proclaim, "planets align and heroes are born." A cosmic bolt of lightning (?!?) strikes the Peaceful Angels Orphanage, transforming three sleeping babies, Derrick, Buck and Meg, into a trio of superheroes known as the Mega Babies. Their mission? To rid the universe of all evil, including "alien villains and fully loaded diapers." In the first of four segments on Nursery Slimes, the trio is sent to a day care center where their antics (not surprisingly) disturb all those around them. The tables are turned, however, when a mad robot bent on destruction must be stopped. And, no, it does not get better. In the three episodes that follow, "Don't Let the Bedbugs Bite" features a Godzilla-sized bedbug; alien space cows invade the earth in "Attack of the Cownibals"; and Buck accidentally flushes the others down the toilet in "Journey to the Center of the Sewer." I'm bewildered as to how the Mega Babies ever survived even briefly as a daily cartoon. William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, where are you now? Not recommended.
