Michael Michael Motorcycle!

Custom-made for the Hot Wheels crowd, Michael Michael Motorcycle! is a dazzling little production about young people who ride dirt bikes, mini-bikes, and quads (four-wheel contraptions--sort of like two dirt bikes fused together). Jess McKinley stars as the titular host, who turns brothers Billy and Johnny's garage into a bike "super-shop," where the lads learn all about competitive racing for ages six and up, with appropriate sidebars about safety. Featuring plenty of footage of racing, great stunts (zooming up and over rock formations), and getting down and dirty in the mud, the show also points out the unique features of a dirt bike (so no one gets confused about trying to ride a ten-speed bicycle in dangerous places). DVD extras include a talk on helmet safety, a visit to a motorcycle shop, a safety quiz, and a maze game. Recommended. Aud: P. (T. Keogh)
