Letting it all hang out seems to be the operative principle in this loosely structured dance class for children which encourages spontaneity and creativity. Janet Lewis and her young charges explore a wide range of movements (jumping, skipping, prancing, leaping) using various rhythms. In theory, kids are introduced to the concepts of "technique," "rhythm," "locomotion," "composition," and "sharing," but there's not really enough instruction here to warrant calling this a "class." Too, this supposedly audience-interactive video makes the classic mistake of incorporating very little audience participation. An optional purchase. Aud: K, E, P. (R. Pitman)
