Combining snappy music, a colorful underwater background, cute singing and dancing puppets, and plenty of humor, Neon's Imagination Vacation finds the Atlantis Elementary Fishkids returning from spring break overflowing with stories about the wonderful places they've visited. When Miss Angel asks class members to compose a song about their vacations, however, it proves to be a special challenge for those who stayed home--including Neon, whose schoolyard tale of an exotic island where flowers eat rocks and plants dance just might not hold up to academic scrutiny. The puppets perform songs with positive encouraging messages, such as "find some good in everything, and you'll see things differently," and "it's not where you go that's important, it's what you do." An entertaining program for kids, this title and its included companion video, Red's Musical Misadventure, are enthusiastically recommended. Aud: K, E, P. (J. McDaniel)
