From the creators of Sesame Street, the delightfully imaginative series Pinky Dinky Doo follows the titular pink-haired seven-year-old as she spins yarns to help occupy her impressionable younger brother Tyler. Each episode follows the same format: when a problem comes up, the siblings settle inside a cardboard story box, where Pinky tells a fantastic tale, and then tries to problem-solve by thinking big (really big…her head swells up with ideas), using a significant vocabulary word that appears during the story. In “Polka Dot Pox” a sick Tyler is frustrated about missing a field trip, which reminds Pinky of the time she had a multi-colored ailment and tried to sneak away to school for show-and-tell. “Pinky Dinky Doo and the Party Animals” leads to a tale about a birthday celebration for stuffed animals, “Pinky Dinky Doo and the Missing Dinosaurs” follows the siblings as they investigate noises at a museum, and “Dragon Needs a Sippy Cup” explores a calamity in King Spillsalot's castle. Aired on NOGGIN, this compilation is “yesirooney, positooney” highly recommended. Aud: P. (J. Williams-Wood)
