This four-part compilation from the Children's Television Networks award-winning public television series Sesame Street guides pre-school through second-grade children on a fun-filled and informative tour of the human body. Beginning with an animated mountaineers treacherous scaling of a BOY, the program names common body parts, discusses joints and bones, demonstrates sounds we make (snoring, sneezing, coughing), and matches and compares different human and animal limbs. Utilizing animation, puppets, and live action, the program makes use of a variety of vehicles (skits, songs, games) to maintain young children's attention. The production values and video transfer are both excellent, and, although the price is a bit high, a portion of the proceeds are funneled back into funding more of the quality educational programming produced by the CTW. A program and suggested activity guide is included with the tape. Highly recommended for school and larger public libraries.
