Even though it runs at 51 minutes, it has taken my eight-year-old daughter and I a week to watch this video. Between the pause button, the repeat function, super slow motion, and the need to demonstrate new string magic tricks to everyone in the house (or those passing by outside) this enjoyable video has really "strung" us along, and "strung" me out. Storyteller and wordsmith David Titus demonstrates--in a slow, calm, step-by-step method--string magic tricks which he's learned from around the world. Using both hands and occasionally your teeth, you can make 50 designs including "Jacob's Ladder," "Cup and Saucer," "Scissors," "Mosquito" and my daughter's favorite "Rocket Ship." The video comes with its own string so you can start practicing right off the bat (fortunately, for libraries, string is a relatively common household item). My daughter gives it "thumbs up." Her slightly dyslexic dad would too...if he could free up his thumbs for a moment. Highly recommended. Aud: E, I, P. (R. Ray)
