Jim Davis's slovenly, mischievous, food-obsessed cartoon cat—originally created in a popular, daily comic strip and adapted both for live-action movies and hand-drawn-animation television adventures—is back in this compilation of a half-dozen computer-animated tales. “Perfect Pizza” finds Garfield, human owner Jon, and goofy dog Odie working to outwit a pizza chain's CEO who is trying to wipe out an independent competitor's business. In “Lucky Charm,” a leprechaun grants Garfield “good luck” in everything, which naturally turns out to be a disaster (Garfield wishes he had tartar sauce just as a plane flying overhead makes an emergency dump of 100 pounds of tartar). “Extreme Housebreaking” matches Garfield's determination against a strong-willed animal behaviorist, and “It's a Cheese World” finds the rotund pet smuggling mice into a cheese theme park. DVD extras include a bonus episode. Fun and funny, this is recommended. Aud: P. (T. Keogh)
