New Jersey-based children's entertainer Mr. Ray (Ray Andersen) plays his signature sticker-plastered music makers—both acoustic and electric—in this short but sweet compilation featuring tunes and five animated videos aimed at young viewers (2 and up). Combining live-action footage of Mr. Ray on a studio set with live-action/animated music video segments, The Mr. Ray Show: Songs from the Stickered Guitar serves up fun little ditties that include a snazzy overview of the numbers 1-10 (with some attention paid to days, months, and shapes) and the funky “George the Groovy Giraffe,” as well as “Dinosaur Song,” “Have You Seen My Friend Ellie Elephant?”, “Twinkle, Twinkle,” and the energizing “Gimme a HI-5” (featuring kids playing instruments as his “backup band”). Highly recommended. Aud: K, P. (J. Williams-Wood)
