A sister who casts a suspicious eye on a new sibling is at the center of this adorable animated adaptation of author Ame Dyckman (who also narrates) and illustrator Zachariah OHora's 2015 children's story, a School Library Journal “Best Books of the Year” selection. The Bunny parents are delighted with the bundled canis lupus baby left on their doorstep, but young Dot is skeptical, fearing that Wolfie is going to eat the family. Wolfie is a very sweet little wolf, soaking up the parents' attention and attempting to gain favor with his new sibling—pitifully crying when Dot and her citified woodland animal friends are mean. However, a run-in with a bigger, badder creature at the local co-op leads Dot to realize just how much Wolfie means to her. Also featuring a read-along option, this sweet and silly tale about sibling rivalry is highly recommended. Aud: K, E, P. (J. Williams-Wood)
