Stars: Mary Stuart Masterson (Fried Green Tomatoes, Immediate Family), Hart Bochner (Die Hard, Mr. Destiny, Apartment Zero), Cec Verrell. If you removed all the establishing shots, static shots, and meaningful looks in this "thriller," you'd be left with a half-hour movie. Mary Stuart Masterson stars as Jennie, a young woman who agrees to be married to James Miller, although she's secretly in love with Miller Brown (Hart Bochner). She's not real happy about the marriage, but when she interrupts Miller Brown's poker game to tell him that she loves him, he says "don't touch me," and holds a gun to his head, which I guess is a fairly unequivocal "no" vote for the possibility of reciprocal love. Jennie and James do not look like happy units (they don't even consummate the marriage anytime soon), but matters get a bit worse when James goes outside one night during a full moon, grows a few tufts of hair on the back of his hand, and begins disturbing the peace with some major howling (fortunately, the Millers have no neighbors). Wifey runs home to mama, pronto, but is lured back out when Miller Brown agrees to spend that one bad night of the month with her (while hubby is sprouting hair and singing lunar lullabies). If this doesn't make a lick of sense, then you've understood Mad at the Moon completely. Audience: Western fans won't like this. Romance fans won't like this. Horror fans won't like this. And neither will you.
