Charlie Duke, the Lunar Module Pilot for Apollo 16 is the host and guide for this detailed step-by-step re-enactment of the Apollo 16 mission to the moon. Using NASA footage, archival and personal still photographs, and demonstrations performed specifically for the video, Duke takes viewers through all of the pre-flight procedures, describes the mission members' activities and his own feelings during the flight, and explains the various tests which the astronauts are seen performing on the moon. Duke is not a polished speaker, but his presentation is natural and informative. One of the highlights is his halting explanation of how astronauts do their bathroom business in space. After his explanation, he says that whatever viewers can imagine has probably happened at one time or another (and with zero gravity, one can imagine some rather unpleasant identified flying objects.) An excellent documentary that really shows the astronaut's life from an insider's perspective. Highly recommended. (Available from most major distributors.)
