Stars: Marilyn Adams, Joe Estevez, Sandy Snyder (TV's "Ryan's Hope," "As The World Turns"). This low-budget amateur horror film from 1989 has no reason to be released on video today, but here it is. Marilyn Adams stars as the whacked-out mother-in-law Milly, who escapes from an insane asylum in Louisiana, and somehow manages to show up in San Francisco a couple of days later. Moving in to her son Billy's (Joe Estevez) house, Milly immediately begins doing weird things like: wearing Billy's wife's clothing, writing "die, bitch" on the walls, and killing the vampish Mexican maid. But, apparently, blood is thicker than brains, and regardless of what some might consider inappropriate behavior on the part of a mother-in-law, Billy is reluctant to turn Mom over to the authorities (the family doesn't know she escaped from the asylum, they just thought she was either missing or dead). Eventually, Mom gets to run around the house carrying a butcher knife, while the filmmakers try to figure out how to extend the scene for as long as they can. The bottom line is that you don't have to be a rocket scientist to recognize that this is a totally amateur production filled with non-actors. Audience: Suckers.
