This offbeat independent film, notable for its attention grabbing title, has just enough quirkiness to hold your interest but not enough original story to sustain it. Max (Jonathan Gries) is a starving artist who's afraid to show his work; Taylor (Lisa Zane) is an aspiring actress who gets one bad break after another. Naturally, they fall in love. And, by film's end they both manage to launch budding careers. Ho hum. Cameos by Paul Bartel, Phyllis Diller, Wendy O. Williams (lead singer for the Plasmatics), Isabel Sanford, and Robert Culp, lend a little comic relief, but second-banana Sal Lopez, as the jive-talking, graffiti-spraying busboy Carlos steals the show away from both the principals and the cameos without much effort. Not a total bow-wow, but no greyhound of comedy either. Not recommended. (R. Pitman)
