A Pacific Northwest Two Nation Vacation

After years of being bypassed by tourists busy courting skin cancer in California, the Pacific Northwest has become a travel destination in its own right. Seattle is famous for its multiculturalism, commitment to the arts, quality of life and fantastic natural beauty. This video points out another reason to visit: the equally outstanding cities of Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia, just across the Canadian border. Considering the video spends just fifteen minutes on each city, the viewer nevertheless gets a good overview of things to see and do in each locale, including a little local history. (One amusing fact: Gassy Jack's saloon gave the settlement of Vancouver its first name of Gastown, until government officials decided something a little more dignified was needed.) Included are diverse attractions which will appeal variously to those who love the outdoors, city night life, historic inns, formal gardens, whale-watching, ethnic food and, of course, shopping.
