Questar's six-disc boxed set of the Trinity Broadcasting miniseries Against All Odds: Israel Survives includes all 13 episodes, as well as a feature-length highlights compilation. Writer-director Tom Ivy and journalist-host Michael Greenspan (CNN, BBC) take viewers on a tour of modern-day Israel, which has triumphed in four major wars and survived relentless terrorist attacks. Looking at various events from both historical and Biblical perspectives, the series combines archival footage, dramatic recreations, eyewitness accounts, and interviews with historians to tell one of the most remarkable survival stories of our age, both on a national and personal level. Covering everything from Israel's establishment in 1948, to the Yom Kippur War, to the daring raid on Entebbe Airport, while also accenting the near-superhuman achievements of Israeli patriots who believe their tiny country is a vessel of divine providence, Against All Odds is a well-crafted and compellingly presented miniseries (although, not surprisingly, many are likely to disagree with some of its interpretations).
