Long, long ago in a universe as far away as your own backyard, creepy-crawling bugs and insects that George Lucas can't touch and Spielberg hasn't even dreamed up yet have been industriously working away. Using extraordinary camera work, including microphotography and computer graphics, this amazing series buzzes viewers into the alien world that surrounds us, the world of insects. From migrating Monarch butterflies to beetles from South Africa who tap out Morse-code with their butts, these intricate little life forms outnumber us by many, many billions, and we can be thankful that, except for an occasional termite, this alien empire hasn't decide to strike back at us johnny-come-lately's to Planet Earth.
