Not exactly a documentary and not exactly a work of fiction, Camp TV features a group of students and counselors going through the camp motions (making paper airplanes, singing Hokey Pokey and telling campfire stories) in a fairly stagey and sleepwalkey little exercise which is rather mystifying and not particularly engaging. The pacing is slow, there isn't a lot of payoff in the sequences, and the decision to transition sections of the video through the point of view of an animated mosquito doesn't exactly rekindle fond memories of camp por moi. All in all, going to camp is a lot more fun than watching this purported substitute, which is an optional purchase, at best. Aud: P. (R. Ray)
