Following the traditional formula for many drug education programs, this video offers up a series of testimonials from various victims of cocaine and crack addiction. We hear from a girl whose brother committed suicide after a lengthy addiction. We hear from a prostitute, a convicted user and an aspiring artist, all of whose lives were derailed by chasing the high. Each stage of use is catalogued; "the rush," "the hook," "the craving," "the crash," "losing family and friends," and "paranoia." Collections with a large assortment of anti-drug videos will find this one to be no more inventive or powerful than most others, but it still puts out an important message--coke is not what it's "cracked" up to be. Recommended, for those without similar fare. Aud: J, H. (R. Ray)
