Doc & Merle Watson

The latest in Ramblin's series of concerts taped at Ohio University during the early 80s, Doc & Merle Watson features the legendary picker and his talented son together with Michael Coleman on bass performing a wide variety of tunes from country ballads and folk songs to jazz classics and bottleneck blues tunes. Songs include: "Don't Think Twice," "It's Alright," "Smoke, Smoke," "Sweet Georgia Brown," "Streamline Cannonball," "Natural Born Gamblin' Man," and "Got The Blues Can't Be Satisfied" (bottleneck played with a handy dandy--and mighty fine soundin'--Sears & Roebuck wrench socket). In addition to the foot tappin' concert, Doc Watson is interviewed about his childhood, his blindness, his love for music, and his life on the road.
