Aimed at K-3 students, Earth and You explores issues relating to environmental responsibility, using a straightforward and easy-to-understand approach to introduce themes about pollution, overuse of resources, climate change, and species extinction. Images are shown that will remind kids of home and neighborhoods, such as street litter accompanied by an explanation of how simple messes outdoors have a larger impact on nature. Warnings about wasteful running water, unnecessary uses of electricity, and pouring inappropriate liquids down sinks also helps build awareness, as do tips on reusable items (such as bags). Concluding with a review and video quiz, this is highly recommended. Aud: K, E, P. (T. Keogh)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
