Filmmakers Lorena Munoz and Sergio Wolf's offbeat documentary "I Don't Know What Your Eyes Have Done to Me" chronicles their obsessive pursuit of a legendary Argentine tango singer and dancer named Ada Falcon, who disappeared from sight in 1942 at the height of her career. Cleverly cutting together archival clips from Falcon's appearances in movies and on television with footage culled from recent interviews with various Falcon aficionados, the film also makes pilgrimages to Falcon's old haunts, all the while creating a noir-ish atmosphere of edge-of-your-seat mystery. What happened to this artist whose lovers included some truly powerful men and whose music meant so much to millions? The closer the co-directors come to finding Falcon and uncovering her story, the more exciting their cinematic fusion of the past and present becomes. An intriguing and enigmatic biographical profile--with a surprising revelation at the end--this is recommended. Aud: P. (T. Keogh)
