Host Walter Zanger is the enthusiastic guide for this interesting tour through Jerusalem's Cardo. Pointing out there are really two levels to Jerusalem, the street level and the "cardo" level, Zanger takes viewers into some recently excavated and rarely seen nooks and crannies in underground Jerusalem. The film's highlight is a visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, reportedly the site of Christ's Crucifixion. Although modern Jerusalem co-exists with the "old city," Wanger points out that one need only walk a matter of feet to come upon structures that are over 2,000 years old. An interesting travelogue, suitable for general collections. Recommended. (Available from: Sisu Home Entertainment, 20 W. 38th St., Suite 402, New York, NY 10018, as well as from major distributors.)
