Larry the Cable Guy is a gross, gay-bashing, redneck comic, who seems determined to offend everyone in this live performance except, perhaps, other gross, gay-bashing, rednecks in the audience. But, for better or worse, Larry has a following (he also appeared on the successful Blue Collar Comedy Tour [VL-9/03], along with Jeff Foxworthy and others) and while his humor may be crude, his performance is carefully polished, with his hick persona becoming the butt of most of his jokes, such as this one about getting healthy: "My girlfriend wanted us to work out together; I got her an exercise machine with a sidecar for me." Or, on evangelism: "I was $150 short of bringing a stripper to the Lord." And so on. Needless to say, a very little of this goes an awful long way. Not a necessary purchase. Aud: P. (T. Keogh)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
