Filled with silly skits, quick cuts, animation, and hosted by attractive and personable young guides, the disc begins with an overview of the basic tenets of geography, before taking viewers on a tour of the geography of North America, Europe, the "Troika" (Russia, the Caucasus, and Central Asia), North Africa, and sub-Saharan Africa. Touching on the diverse histories, cultures, and physical characteristics of the world's countries, the program's DVD format allows instant accessibility to various content areas for specific study or review. Although recommended for audiences up through college, it's probably best suited for junior high and high school students as the simple, silly humor may not travel as well in the college ranks.
