Produced, filmed, and narrated by Robin D. Williams, this is an often interesting and often schmaltzy tracing of the path the 25 year old Charles Lindbergh took on his historic flight from Garden City, NY to Paris on May 20, 1927. Williams, accompanied by his wife and son, begins his quest in San Diego, where he is able to talk with mechanics that actually worked on the famous "Spirit of St. Louis" over 60 years ago. Unlike Lindbergh, Williams makes the journey by ocean liner, reciting from the writings of Lindbergh along the way. Reminiscent of an old-fashioned travel talk presented before National Geographic society members, Lindbergh's Flight to Paris does offer historical footage, informed and enthusiastic commentary, and a reasonable price. Recommended. (See HOW TO REPAIR YOUR CREDIT for availability.)
