What can you say about a 3-volume concert set that not only devotes roughly equal time to Paul McCartney and Status Quo (and get this, they don't even play "Pictures of Matchstick Men"), but offers twice as much Tears For Fears as Elton John? Not much. Filmed at Knebworth in 1990, the boxed set also offers slim pickens from Phil Collins (with and without Genesis), Robert Plant (briefly joined by Jimmy Page), Dire Straits (playing one hit, "Money for Nothing"), Eric Clapton (two songs total, neither of which is "Layla"), and Pink Floyd. Unexceptionally filmed, with less than crystal clear sound, this was either an unexceptional concert or a poorly edited one. Not recommended. Aud: P. (R. Pitman)
