Martha's Summer Favorites

It's summertime—and the livin' is…packed with ideas, recipes, and projects for getting the most out of those hazy, lazy days in Martha's Summer Favorites, the latest offering from the domestic diva's DVD series featuring segments culled from the Martha Stewart Living show. Nothing says summer like Martha making her own flip-flops and grilling chicken and ribs, not to mention tie-dying a sarong, fashioning a bean bag toss (as well as assorted sponge balls, beach bags, and superhero capes), sewing a material silverware holder (and a picnic blanket, fireworks apron, and button napkins), or creating citronella candles, patriotic votives, or a red, white, and blue garland….and that's only disc one! Disc two gets down to the meat of the matter with recipes for barbecuing favorites such as ribs, chicken, and leg of lamb, as well as grilling staples such as sausage, seafood, onions, and corn on the cob. Side dishes take center stage with recipes for corn relish, gazpacho, and potato salad, with room for desserts such as berry cobbler and ice cream brownie bars.
