One of the better titles I've seen on the subject, Meteors offers a thorough examination of the origin, composition, history (including documentation by early civilizations of meteor showers) and current scientific thinking on meteors. Using photos, stills, film footage and 3-D animation, viewers are given a close up look at these building blocks of the solar system. Scientific explanations are presented in lay terminology, making this a title sure to be enjoyed by hobbyists, while the depth of information provided will also prove useful for undergraduate study. A solid overview that provides current information and a more than adequate introduction to the topic, this is highly recommended. A companion volume (also from the Just the Facts series), Comets and Asteroids, is also available at the same price. Aud: J, H, C, P. (L. Stevens)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
