Offering an inspiring message about creativity in seniors, No Age Limit is full of interesting characters and life stories. Short segments highlight the lives of an architect who submitted a 9/11 memorial proposal when he was 96, elderly piano and dance teachers who are still involved with students, the celebrated quilters of Gee's Bend, AL, a dancer who at age 90 appears as the friar in a production of the ballet Romeo and Juliet, and an irrepressible woman in her 90s who keeps her body flexible and takes the bus to auditions for acting and modeling gigs. One chapter demonstrates how activities such as making music, crafting art, and even working on a fashion show can improve the lives of elders who are living with dementia. Unfortunately, the six parts comprising the half-hour-shy program must be accessed individually from the menu. Recommended for collections on aging, this is a strong optional purchase elsewhere. Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
