Filmed on December 14, 1999 before a rowdy audience of 300 in Liverpool, England's Cavern Club, this exceptionally short concert (roughly 45 minutes) features 10 new tunes from McCartney's retro homage to '50s rock 'n roll, Run Devil Run; a couple of very early unrecorded tunes; and "I Saw Her Standing There." Extras include a 17 minute interview with McCartney conducted by Jools Holland (Squeeze), a mini-doc promoting the album, a pair of music videos, and brief bios of the band members (including Pink Floyd's David Gilmour and Deep Purple drummer Ian Paice). Disappointingly, too little music, and that too uninspiringly played, make this an optional purchase for all but "compleat" Beatles collections. Aud: P. (R. Pitman)
