A compilation of short programs designed to provide, "if not answers, at least a healthy new perspective, substantial food for thought and the desire to seek greater wisdom and truth," Stumbling Blocks to Faith examines five topics: hypocrisy, intolerance, science, suffering, and sacrifice. Each segment utilizes the same format: following a crisply delivered introduction, theologians, clergy and missionaries present their views interspersed with biblical quotations, and the section concludes with a list of suggested readings. While the program is well organized, the strong emphasis on Christianity as an exclusive religion and the uniformly conservative tone of the presentation tends to limit the scope of the discussion this is designed to promote. And, frankly, this is dry as dust. Not recommended. Aud: P. (J. Reed)
