This is quite possibly the lamest DVD ever released. Syd Barrett, the original lead guitarist of Pink Floyd, was so behaviorally impaired that he was kicked out of the band before they hit the major leagues. Although he went on to record a couple of albums in the early '70s that attracted a cult following, he was really a burn-out case before he ever got anywhere worth going. In 1966, Nigel Gordon filmed Syd and some others after they ingested magic mushrooms (variety unidentified) and that terrible film constitutes Part 1 of this 15 minute DVD. Part 2, equally pointless, claims to document Pink Floyd's historic signing with EMI Records, but it looks more like the work of a 5-year-old who's figured out how to turn on daddy's camcorder. Not recommended. Aud: C, P. (P. Van Vleck)
