An accompaniment to Dr. Bill Michaelis's well reviewed How to Lead Games (VL-5/98), this tape explains the rules of 20-plus Frisbee and balloon games for older kids and large groups. As in his previous video, Michaelis mentions safety (both physical and emotional) and ecology consciousness as each game is demonstrated by an enthusiastic group of college-aged participants. Each game looked fun and easy to learn--even for immovable objects such as myself--and rules and procedures are reiterated in the enclosed pamphlet, along with variations based on skill level, equipment needs, or number of people. Given the production's wealth of nicely-presented, enjoyable-seeming good old American fun activities, viewers should be able to overlook the natural lighting in the outdoor scenes, which cause long shadows and lots of squinting. Enthusiastically recommended, especially for those libraries already owning the previous tape, as well as church, family-reunion, and camp recreation leaders. Aud: J, H, C, P. (K. Glaser)

As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
