Filmed live at Radio Bremen studios in Germany in 1979 after the successful release of their eponymous debut 1978 album, The Cars prove here that their mechanical pop sound was largely created in the studio. Neither visually nor audibly interesting, the notably short 45 minute set of 11 tunes includes the hits "Good Times Roll," "Bye Bye Love," "My Best Friend's Girl," and "You're All I've Got Tonight," as well as three non-hits from the 1979 follow-up, Candy-O. The other half of the disc's 93 minute running time consists of a disappointingly rambling interview with band members, including a sadly failing Benjamin Orr, who passed away last year at the age of 53 from pancreatic cancer. Not a necessary purchase. Aud: C, P. (R. Pitman)
