Anyone considering joining the Marine Corps will find a great deal of useful information in this video, which begins with a competent overview of Marine Corps history, including the often taken-for-granted role of women, followed by a thorough detailing of what it takes to make it through boot camp (an experience not all viewers would be willing to undertake). As all aspects of the training are covered, we sweat and grunt along with the recruits, feel their apprehension of the dreaded drill sergeants, and wait with breathless anticipation to see who makes it and who drops out. All in all, this is a video which delivers what it promises and it should be a popular item in high school and public libraries. Recommended. Aud: H, P. (J. Carlson)
