The Path of Jesus

Christopher Gornold-Smith presents seven short episodes depicting incidents in the life of Jesus from birth to crucifixion, each illustrated by nicely-produced silent reenactments: “The Christmas Story,” “The Temptation,” “Jesus and the Pharisees”; the parables “The Pharisee and the Tax Collector,” “The Decision,” and “The Absent King”; and “The New Covenant” (detailing the Last Supper and the Crucifixion). Although these are all well-known episodes from Christ's life and ministry, Gornold-Smith adds helpful historical context concerning the events described. DVD extras include a photo gallery, Roman recipes, and a downloadable PDF study guide. A straightforward, basic program that would be a fine resource for bible study and religious education groups, this is recommended. Aud: P. (J. Reed)
